Chiang Mai presents a wonderful contrast to Bangkok. It is Thailand's second largest city; it has some 20,000 square kilometers in area.

Chiang Mai was founded in 1296, and is located in a fertile valley some 300 meters above Sea level Chiang Mai was the capital of Lanna Thai (Kingdom of One Million Rice fields), the first independent Thai kingdom within the fabled Golden Triangle. Chiang Mai flourished as a major religious, cultural and trading center until 1556 when a Burmese invasion reduced it to a vassal state. The Burmese were expelled in 1785, whereupon Lanna Thai once again became part of northern Thailand.

Chiang Mai located 700 kilometers North of Bangkok. Here you will discover a landscape of high-forested hills and idyllic river valleys, while the cities, towns and villages of the region display a distinct culture arising from a long and separate history. Day 1: Flight to Chiang Mai

 

• Transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Chiang Mai

• Domestic flight: Bangkok – Chiang Mai
(These will be advised for flight detail at the time of booking)

• Upon arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, meet with our local guide the check in at hotel or continue for the tour (depending on arrival time)

• Visit Doi Suthep Temple, Meo hill tribe and Home industries

Doi Suthep Temple is the most important places of the city, 1000 meters above sea level The pagoda was built in year 1348 which is the combination of Chiang Saen and Lanna style

Bosang Umbrella has for hundreds of years, most people have the aptitude to do umbrella, especially the drainage pattern and colorful that is considered the most famous symbol

Sankampang, major center for quality handicrafts, the artisans produce an extraordinary range of quality products which are in variably, wood carving, silverware, lacquerware, leather, pottery, furniture, silk & cottons

• Transfer to hotel

Day 2: Elephant Safari

 

• Breakfast at hotel

• 08.30:  Pick up from hotel for full day of Full day tour of Elephant Safari and bamboo rafting;

→ Watch a herd of elephant taking a bath in mountain steam and brief demonstration how this great beast work in remote jungle

→ Then take experience ridding on elephant about 1 hour
→ Lunch at restaurant
→ After lunch embark on bamboo raft, float down River Ping, then trip continue to orchid farm

• Back to hotel around 17.00 hour

• Overnight in Chiang Mai

Day 3: Chiang Rai Day Tour

 

• Breakfast at hotel

• 07.30:  Pick up from hotel for full day tour of Chiang-Rai

• Visit Golden Triangle where the three countries; Thailand, Myanmar and Laos are met.

→ Golden Triangle, this area used to have the opium trade in exchange for gold, but today it is a major source of transportation in this part of Thailand.

• Lunch at restaurant

• After lunch visit Mae–Sai where “The top of Thailand”

→ Mae Sai, is border to Myanmar which has a bridge connecting the two cities together. Both Karen and Burmese come to trade freely. Visitors can shop native and other cheap goods such as soap basket, brass Burma, herbal cigarettes etc.

• Visit Yao and Akna hill tribe village

→ Along the way you will visit the beauty of nature in addition, through the villages of hill tribes such as the Akha, Lahu, Yao, Karen and to see the culture of the tribes with traditions.

• Heading back to hotel around 19.30 hour

• Overnight in Chiang Mai

Day 4: Flight to Bangkok

 

• Breakfast at hotel

• Free day at leisure until transfer to Chiang Mai International Airport for your departure to Bangkok or next destination

• Transfer from hotel to airport

• Domestic flight: Chiang Mai – Bangkok
